Our real-life

social

spaces

are eroding.

…and that’s

bad.

Strong social support systems have been shown to:

  • Reduce depression

  • Reduce anxiety

  • Reduce stress

  • Improve confidence

  • Improve resilience

  • Improve coping abilities

  • Improve self-esteem

  • Improve emotional-regulation

  • Improve your sense of belonging

  • Improve your sense of community

  • Improve motivation

  • Improve goal-completion

  • Improve social skills

  • Improve long-term mental health outcomes

You have a lot to gain by forming a strong social support network that makes you feel:

  • Seen

  • Included

  • Supported

  • Valued

  • Worthy

  • Accepted

  • Validated

…even if it takes time and effort to find your people.

Social support systems

are critical to

mental health.

Social support systems

are also critical for

physical health.

Having a strong social support system can benefit your physical health in multiple ways:

  • Inspires healthier habits

  • Someone will notice if you’re not doing well

  • Encouragement to seek medical help when needed

  • Lowered rates of chronic health conditions

  • Reduced risk of premature death.

It can sometimes be difficult to find people you feel safe with, but this is a key part of your overall well-being that can’t be ignored.

It will take time to find your people.

…but it will be worth it.

For now…
…focus on what you want.
